Nodar Kumaritashvili Vigil in Whistler

Even thought the day was marked with tragedy there is still an overwhelming sense of Olympic spirit running through Whistler. I’ll be taking photos and updating this blog as often as I can during the time of the Whistler and Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter games.

RIP Nodar Kumaritashvili… the difference between winning and loosing are split seconds… the IOC saying it was human error makes me sad… he was pushing to the limit as any Olympic athlete does… the error was having the string of solid steel posts running along that corner ready for any athlete leaving the track to hit…. it is like lining the fastest corners of an F1 track with concrete and steel instead of tyres and gravel etc… may the games go ahead but after ward the lessons must be acknowledged and e
learnt….p.s i have just heard that they are now wrapping the pillars with foam as well as changing the curvature of the wall..
